History

AGS was founded in 1975 in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. as a composition and type-setting company that focused on the creation of pages from database files. Four decades later, AGS still focuses on data, but has expanded into print (offset, large format and digital), programming (CD, DVD, internet, custom programming), graphic design and the supporting ancillary services of storage, fulfillment, finishing (mechanical, hand, and machine bindery operations) mailing, and content creation including translation services.

Currently AGS employs 105 people in its primary facility in White Plains, Md. Since 2010, we have invested more than $5 million dollars in equipment and capabilities at AGS including the investment in the Kodak Prosper 5000 XLi digital inkjet web press and the finishing lines to enable efficient near-line production of variable data booklets, book blocks, letters and the intelligent insertion lines to support the needs of our customers.
