Compressing Files

PC Users

1. Open the WinZip application on your local machine.
2. The WinZip window will appear. Choose the icon labeled New at the top of the window.
3. The New Archive window will appear. Enter the following information to create the zip file:
        Create: (The location where the zip file will be saved, choose from the list)
        File name: (The name of the zip file you are creating)
        Files of type: Zip files (default)
4. Click OK.
5. The Add window will appear. Enter the following information to add files to the new zip file you created:
        Add: (Choose the location where the your files are located)
        File name: (The name of the file(s) you are adding to the zip file) Files can be selected
        from the list of files that appear in the box above the file name field. Hold the Ctrl key to
        add multiple files.      Choose the default values for all other options listed.
6. Click ADD.
7. The files you selected should now appear in the WinZip window.
8. Close the WinZip window by clicking the X on the top right hand corner of the window.

MAC Users

1. Open the StuffIt application on your local machine.
2. Go to File menu and select New to create a compressed archive.
3. Choose Stuff from the Archive menu.
4. Locate your file(s) and click the Add button.
5. Click the Stuff button.
