A recent article in Mashable re-inspired me. Many people wonder about innovation in print. What can you possibly do that’s new and hasn’t been done before? Well, Wired and Motorola clearly think otherwise. An interactive print ad in the January edition of Wired showcases a full-page ad for the Moto X that actually allows you to push color buttons within the ad to change the color of the phone in the ad. Apparently the ad uses razor-thin components to achieve this feat, including a battery, LEDs and a button membrane.

The ad is being distributed in the publication’s New York and Chicago metro areas.
