Where’s the beef?

Can you tell I grew up in the 80’s? “Where’s the beef?” is a saying may famous by the little old lady in the Wendy’s ads when I was a kid.

You heard it everywhere.

When it comes to direct marketing you should be thinking the same thing – “Where’s the beef?” about your campaign each and every time. By that I mean you should be asking yourself the following:

  1. What will make someone look for a second longer? (where’s the little old lady?)
  2. What makes it worth it? (does the beef extend outside of the bun?)
  3. What is my hook? (will someone respond because it looks yummy?)
